Keeping your vacation rental calendar accurate is one of the most important tasks for a successful "Book Direct" website. Whether you’re performing maintenance, taking a personal vacation, or managing a booking from another platform, blocking dates manually is a quick and essential process.
Here’s how to do it in under 60 seconds:
Step 1: Log In and Select Your Property
Go to OwnerWebs.com and log in to your dashboard. You will see a list of your active websites and properties. Click on the specific property link to enter the management portal.
Step 2: Navigate to the "Blocks" Tab
Once you are inside the property editor, look at the top navigation menu. You will see several tabs like Details, Images, and Rates. Click on BLOCKS.
Step 3: Select Your Dates
Click the input field that says "tap/click to browse add a block." This will open a calendar interface.
- Use the arrows to navigate to the correct month and year.
- Click your Start Date and then your End Date. The selected range will be highlighted.
- Click the green Apply Dates button.
Step 4: Add a Description (Optional)
A pop-up will appear asking for notes. We highly recommend adding a quick note here—such as "Owner Stay" or "HVAC Repair"—so you can remember why those dates were blocked when you look back later.
- Click OK once you've entered your notes.
Step 5: Verify and Save
The system will take a moment to rebuild your calendar. Once finished, you will see your new block listed at the bottom of the "Add/Remove Date Blocks" section.
Your calendar block will also synchronize this information to any calendar you are synching with on other platforms.
If you ever need to reopen those dates, simply click the (remove block) link next to the entry in this list.
Sorry the tutorial is so short and easy and not more difficult! I dragged it out as far as I could!

The system automatically rebuilds your calendar once you click Apply and OK on the notes pop-up. You will see the new block appear in your list once the process is complete.
Absolutely. The OwnerWebs dashboard is mobile-responsive, allowing you to log in and manage your calendar blocks from any smartphone or tablet.
The manual block will simply sit alongside your existing bookings. However, for clarity, it is best to only block dates that are currently showing as Available.
If you have exported your OwnerWebs iCal feed to other platforms, those platforms will see your manual blocks as Unavailable and update their calendars accordingly.
